Supporting Children’s Social-Emotional Learning Through Play
Join to experience real-life examples from play therapy and classroom settings that teach us about emotional safety, trust, resilience, and the importance of the teacher-child relationship as the foundation for social-emotional learning. Video examples of adult interaction skills will be shared to demonstrate how to use play to support children’s communication and expression, establish a safe and secure adult-child relationship, empower children with a sense of control, help them manage strong feelings, acquire new social skills, and manage challenging behaviors through play. The session will include Zoom audience participation to practice setting limits on Christian’s play behavior, in the moment!
